To bring to life those romantic visions of Africa described by writers like Karen Blixen and Joy Adamson, Kenya is the place for you. A certain magic pervades the Kenyan air, engendering a truly special atmosphere throughout this land. Whether you fantasize about walking through the bush among giraffe and elephants or feeling the breeze whip through your hair as you sail towards an endless blue horizon - Kenya has it all.

From Nairobi, the largest city between Johannesburg and Cairo, it is less than two hours by car until you can find yourself gazing up the Great Rift Valley escarpment, uncovering the treasures of Hell’s Gate National Park and the protected areas around lakes Nakuru, Bagoria, and Baringo.

To the west lies the immense Lake Victoria with its romantic islands. Up near the center of the country, Mt. Kenya rises regally above Meru National Park and the Laikipia Plateau. Further north, the joint ecosystem comprising Samburu, Buffalo Springs, and Shaba Reserves glows like an oasis in this increasingly desertous region. Kenya’s northernmost frontier is dominated by the enigmatic Lake Turkana.

Occupying the opposite side of the country are the famous Masai Mara National Reserve and Amboseli National Park. Towards the east lie the vast and wild Tsavo East and West National Parks.

Kenya’s eastern border is fringed by one of the most beautiful coastlines in the world. From the twisting mangrove channels of the north to the colorful underwater sanctuary of Kisite National Park in the south, the Kenyan coast has something to offer to everyone.
